Welcome to the home page for genealogy of the descendents of Major Abram Bradbury Lowell. Several members of the family tree have been collecting information and collaborating for the past few years, and we have reached the step of publishing the results of our research.

There are published works about the Lowell family, unfortunately both out of print. The first is a book titled "The Lowells and Their Seven Worlds" by Ferris Greenslet. The second, and much more extensive, source is "The Historical Genealogy of the Lowells of America 1899" by Delmar Lowell. These two published works were major starting points for the more recent efforts of our family members in researching the Lowell family.

The Abram Bradbury Lowell Family Reunion was held on July 9-11, 2004 in the Crystal Lake region of Illinois. We had a bus tour of Sharon, Wisconsin, where Abram and Anna Lowell arrived from Sharon Springs, NY in 1844. Many thanks to David T. Lowell for organizing the event, and Fred and Joan Lemon for making local arrangements. Much information was conveyed during the event, and many pictures taken, and new relationships formed. Thanks to everyone for taking part!

We need your help to collect and organize family information. For example, many of the people that joined us at the reunion took pictures of those present. We would like to add as many of these as possible to the web site, and identify them for everyone.
